EmpowHER: Logo Design & Branding

EmpowHER, a BA Women initiative, is an application-based, 8-week intensive summer program in Washington, D.C. designed for progressive women. EmpowHER will help participants, who already have Washington, D.C.-based internships, prepare for and succeed in their positions—and help to launch their careers.

This summer program has been around since 2012, but was never officially named and needed a little extra love to support the BA Women's Alliance's growth goals. We were tasked with naming this powerful program, ensuring that the brand properly communicated everything this brand stood for:

• United women
• Climbing mountains and overcoming adversity
• Youthful but not young or informal
• Professional
• Trustworthy
• Optimistic
• Progressive
• Approachable, friendly and welcoming

Additionally, BA Rudolph, the namesake of the parent nonprofit, always had a thing for tiaras. So we wanted to include a nod to the tiara legacy in this design as well.

We love this brand and creating this branding system was a true pleasure!
