O-Cedar: Strategy and Execution

While online cleaning enthusiasts are nothing new, cleaning-themed social media grew significantly since shelter-in-place orders were implemented during the pandemic in 2020. The hashtag “cleaning" accumulated nearly 12 billion usages on TikTok and more than 5.6 million posts on Instagram. O-Cedar’s knack for providing high-quality household cleaning products, with a strong focus on innovation, inspired the first-ever CleanTok Awards.


Challenge: Build excitement for the CleanTok Awards ceremony, assist with growing social engagement, increase website visitors, promote the launch of EasyWring™ RinseClean™ Spin Mop System, and garner national media attention. 


Strategy: Collaborate with other agency partners of O-Cedar, to create a comprehensive content marketing strategy that showcased O-Cedar’s newest product and the CleanTok Awards for optimal conversion rates.



  • Built and launched a dedicated landing page to highlight the EasyWring™ RinseClean™ Spin Mop System unique benefits. 
  • Implemented messaging into the CleanTok Awards landing page to promote the ceremony and increase vote submissions.
  • Utilized PR partner’s macro-influencer partnerships to drive landing page views.
  • Launched an email campaign to reinforce product education, livestream viewers, and social engagement with @ocedarclean.
  • Build email list subscribers by incorporating appropriate CTA’s that incentivized voters to enter to win the EasyWring™ RinseClean™ Spin Mop System.


Results: After the CleanTok Awards took place, the following results were highlighted as the collaborative efforts of our work along with the work of our partners: 

  • Drove 18k Total Landing Page Visitors
  • Increased New Website Visitors 86.2%
  • Collected 19k+ New Email Subscribers
  • Gained 2.5k New Instagram Followers Throughout Campaign (June 22 - July 30)
  • Attracted 4.5k “Live” Viewers of the Awards Ceremony
